From Blind Quantum Source Separation to Blind Quantum Process Tomography
We here extend the field of blind (i.e. unsupervised) quantum computation into two directions. On the one hand, we introduce a new class of blind quantum source separation (BQSS) methods, which perform quantum/classical data conversion by means of spin component measurements, followed by classical processing. They differ from our previous class of classical-processing BQSS methods by using exte...
متن کاملConcepts and Criteria for Blind Quantum Source Separation and Blind Quantum Process Tomography
Blind Source Separation (BSS) is an active domain of Classical Information Processing, with well-identified methods and applications. The development of Quantum Information Processing has made possible the appearance of Blind Quantum Source Separation (BQSS), with a recent extension towards Blind Quantum Process Tomography (BQPT). This article investigates the use of several fundamental quantum...
متن کاملQuantum teleportation with atoms: quantum process tomography
The performance of a quantum teleportation algorithm implemented on an ion trap quantum computer is investigated. First the algorithm is analyzed in terms of the teleportation fidelity of six input states evenly distributed over the Bloch sphere. Furthermore, a quantum process tomography of the teleportation algorithm is carried out which provides almost complete knowledge about the algorithm.
متن کاملQuantum tomography of input-output processes
The concept of measurement has occupied a distinguished position in quantum theory from its very beginning. The standard idea of measurement deals with the procedures determining the statistics of some set of compatible observables. This original framework has been enlarged since it has been demonstrated that there are practical schemes that allow for the determination of the quantum state in w...
متن کاملQuantum process tomography with coherent states
We have developed an enhanced technique for characterizing quantum optical processes based on probing unknown quantum processes only with coherent states. Our method substantially improves the original proposal (Lobino et al 2008 Science 322 563), which uses a filtered Glauber–Sudarshan decomposition to determine the effect of the process on an arbitrary state. We introduce a new relation betwe...
